Hoff Blackbird 5217 was purchased at the 2006 Hoff Scotch Cap dispersion sale from a flush of 6 full sisters as a PTIC yearling heifer – one of these since re-sold in 2011 for US$25,500 to Rawburn Aberdeen Angus Stud, Scotland UK. Blackbird 5217 has bred superbly with sons from every flush achieved used within the Raff Angus program for stud duties here. She has proven to be a real performance cow producing cattle with good skins, plenty of weight and visually very appealing. Over recent years her descendants have simply dominated. We are currently discovering the added benefits of line-breeding Blackbird females.
